Hello Everyone...I am being urged (most probably by The Angels) to write a short blog on FRIENDSHIP.... This blog is quite personal to me but I am pretty sure that it will resonate with quite a few of you. When you reach a certain age and you look around you, do you see friends that have been in your life for a very long time or do you perhaps see some new ones that you have only known a relatively short time? Is it possible to make new friends who you will share strong bonds with although so much of your life has not been witnessed or understood by them? Are some of the friends that you once held dear becoming distant and sadly no longer interested in new projects that you might undertake. Changes in friendships are a natural occurrence and when someone receives this card in a reading they can be sure that these things are probably taking place. What I want to write about today is loyalty... Loyalty with regards to friends and their ability to stand up for you if they witness something where they consider you have been treated in an unfair way. As healers we are advised to stay away from dramas but this is a slightly different concept. Me personally, I have always stood up for what i believe to be right and that sometimes means standing up for friends... The sad part is that many times I have not seen that reciprocated... A lack of passion is where i feel there is a weakness and also a lack of courage... fear that an enemy may be made because you have spoken out and communicated your truth. Well apart from my immediate family (within my 4 walls) I have rarely seen this passion and at times it has been quite upsetting but you just carry on and you make excuses for these people. Well yesterday at college a lady spoke up for me in such a way that even 24 hours on it is making me quite emotional. I have only known this lady for 2 years and we have completely different lives but what she did for me yesterday will never ever be forgotten. Don't get me wrong I can stand up for myself very well and being assertive is NOT an issue for me at all but when someone actually stands up and says what they believe and speaks of unfairness on your behalf well to me that is a true friend and they are very rare to find... I am learning such a lot on my spiritual journey and I am learning a lot about FAKE people. I urge you today to have a look around and acknowledge the friends that have put their neck on the line to stand up for you... Thank You SHEILA for what you did for me and thank you LISA for what you did many years ago for NATHAN xxx
