Volunteering

So I am officially now a volunteer at The Harry Edwards Sanctuary......... This is something that has to be done as part of my 2 year training course and after an interview last week I had my induction today. This was a very interesting behind the scenes tour including seeing the room where Harry Edwards had passed away and his bedroom too. What really inspired me was seeing the office. A place not visible to anyone visiting the Sanctuary for treatment but it was thriving and the hub of the organisation. We were privileged to be able to see the pile of the hundreds of letters that are received daily and we had a short lesson on the procedure to be followed when reading them and sending the distant healing. So many people needing help, so many lonely people and so many people just reaching out for a lifeline at what seems to be the lance chance saloon. These letters are read in the Chapel and then entered into a book which is under lock and key for confidentiality reasons where the names will remain for a month. These are then sent distant healing during the healing minute which takes place in the Chapel at 10 am every day. The Chapel itself has 2 very interesting drawings of what were described as Harry's spirit guides. We were also taken through the procedure of being a chaperone during the healing sessions.  We as 1st year students are not able to perform the act on the general public yet due to the very strict code of conduct but during year 2 this will be possible. So my journey takes on a new dimension now as I shall be at this wonderful place every week actually seeing and reading about the wonderful results xxxx
